COVID-19 update for MAV key stakeholders

Publish date:

In order to protect the MAV workforce and support social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19, MAV staff and contractors have been asked to work from home and limit face-to-face external engagements until further notice.

MAV officers who are supporting and representing councils in the sector’s response to COVID-19 and a small number of other key staff will continue to attend essential meetings.

Please note, unless on leave, all MAV staff are still working, they are just working remotely. Contact them as you normally would, via email, phone or through our reception on 03 9667 5555. While we will not be hosting non-essential meetings in our office meeting rooms, we do have the capacity to hold meetings remotely via Zoom videoconferencing, MS Teams and other technology.

Please direct any enquiries to reception on 03 9667 5555 or send email to reception@mav.asn.au.

Thank you in anticipation of your support and cooperation.

MAV Events

The recent announcement of the World Health Organisation in declaring coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic has required us to assess all our upcoming events and meetings. We have already cancelled several large-scale events on the advice of the DHHS and the Victorian Chief Health Officer.

To protect our community, our events may be cancelled or held online. We will make decisions about whether each event will be held based on the current COVID-19 advice and contact registered attendees prior to the event to confirm the meeting format and location.

Our priority is the health and safety of our councils and their communities. We are following a calm, fact-based approach in line with state and federal government advice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
