15 hours of kindergarten advocacy
Our push for continued Federal funding for 15 hours of kindergarten has ramped up recently, in an effort to secure ongoing funding before the current funding ends in just over 12 months.
We recently sent a letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and relevant state and federal ministers urging the Federal Government to commit to their share of funding under a National Partnership Agreement, with the current agreement due to expire in December 2017.
The Commonwealth currently funds five hours, with the State funding 10 hours operational costs. All Victorian partners remain committed to the provision and funding of high quality, affordable, and accessible preschool for all Victorian four-year-old children.
