Population management
Managing the effects of population growth or decline is a pressure experienced across all local governments. The MAV recognises that councils seek to plan and provide for communities experiencing both of these circumstances, and we appreciate the difficulties this task presents.
This page provides documents and links that could offer assistance to councils, and others, in understanding matters associated with population management and provide reports that seek to tackle some of these issues.
It is important to note that the MAV does not necessarily endorse the content or conclusions of these documents – they are simply provided as a resource for individuals and organisations to review and use at their own discretion, with appropriate attribution.
